The Construction Product Directive harmonizes laws, rules and regulations among EU member states in the construction sector.

By the Construction Product Directive,EU aims at opening markets and achieving mutual recognition of procedures for marketing construction products.

The necessary condition fur such a recognition is equalizing current requisites for construction products according to harmonized technical prescriptions. Only products satisfying certain conditions may be marketed.

• Hygiene, health and the environment
• Safety at work
• Protection against noise
• Energy economy and heat retention
